Jerry Seinfeld just released a 2nd Bee Movie trailer, and this time he's using Steven Spielberg.

Jerry Seinfeld's calling in a lot of markers to promote his first foray into animation with DreamWorks Animation's Bee Movie. The first trailer featured a cameo from fellow comedian Chris Rock (who's also listed in the cast as Mooseblood Mosquito). For this second trailer, he's getting some help from no less a figure than the man Jo Blo reverently calls The Beard: DreamWorks co-founder Steven Spielberg.

This trailer continues with the previous conceit, that Seinfeld is (unsuccessfully) trying to make a cartoon live-action style. After he gets bashed around during a shot, Seinfeld asks Spielberg for some advice (gotta love the riff they get going about E.T.).

As before, Seinfeld and DreamWorks gets high marks for originality in promoting this flick. On the other hand, I'm still not sure how Seinfeld's schtick will fly with kids. My guess is that it'll mainly be Seinfeld fans dragging their offspring to see this film. Of course, I'm saying this as one of the minority who can only take Seinfeld (or Seinfeld) in very limited quantities.

I'm sure all questions will be answered when Bee Movie opens on November 2nd. You can check out Trailer#2 by clicking here.

P.S. - Here's the synopsis for Bee Movie as paraphrased from IMdb (whoever wrote that needed copy editing): "A bee named Barry B. Benson (Jerry Seinfeld), a recent college grad, is not interested in his lone career choice: making honey. On a special trip outside the hive, Barry's life is saved by Vanessa (Renée Zellweger), a florist in New York City. As their relationship blossoms (writer's note: ha-ha), he decides to sue humanity when he realizes that humans steal and eat honey."
