A mini-profile on Pixar director Brad Bird, whose next flick, Ratatouille, opens on June 29th.

Here's a funky little puff piece that ABC did on Pixar's Brad Bird, as part of their Countdown to the Oscars series. Not sure why they're profiling Bird (since he's not up for an Oscar this year), but I wouldn't be surprised if his upcoming animated movie, Ratatouille, is in the Oscar running next year. Yep, you read it here first.

There's not much here that Bird (and animation fans) won't already know (his history on The Simpsons and King of the Hill, etc.) but there are some never-before seen clips from the upcoming Ratatouille, which I'm pretty jazzed aboutWhy? For one, those clips look really freakin' cool. Also, The Incredibles, Bird's previous flick, is my favourite Pixar movie to date.

Fun Fact: ABC is owned by Disney, who also owns Pixar.
