John Cusack (High Fidelity) has replaced Christian Slater as the title role in Igor. Cusack joins Sean Hayes (Will and Grace), Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Steve Buscemi (Reservoir Dogs) and John Cleese in the project.

Tony Leondis will direct the CGI flick, which is being distributed by the Weinstein Company.

Cusack will voice the role of Igor, a hunchback who is forced to assist the autocratic Dr. Glickenstein (Cleese). At the same time, Igor schemes to win the big prize at the Annual Evil Science Fair. Buscemi will play Scamper, an ill-tempered lab rabbit, while Hayes voices one of Igor's many inventions, a brain in a jar called . . . (wait for it!) . . . Brian the Brain. Chris McKenna (American Dad) wrote the script.

Igor hits theatres on October 24, 2008.
