Flushed Away didn't get enough love in theatres but DVD fans are snapping it up: it's been the best-selling DVD for two weeks in a row.

DreamWorks/Aardman's third and final collaboration, Flushed Away, didn't get a lot of love. Battles over script and production drove the film's costs through the roof ($149 million by the time the dust settled), and publicity for the film was tainted by the news that DreamWorks had applied for a $109 million write-down to cover costs for the flick.
Things got so bad between DreamWorks and Aardman that they two studios announced that they were splitting up because they felt they could no longer work together. That's when snarky entertainment columnists started using the film's title as a prophecy for its chances.
Most reviewers liked Flushed Away but others felt that it wasn't British enough for the Anglophiles and not American enough for the ethnocentrists. Then the juggernaut known as Happy Feet hit theatres and Flushed Away went (ahem) down the toilet.
However, rumours of Flushed Away's demise appear to be exaggerated. According to Video Business, DVD copies of the movie are selling quickly. In fact, for the past two weeks Flushed Away has been the #1 DVD in sales, holding down no less a challenger than Martin Scorcese's Oscar winning The Departed.
Rentals haven't been so kind to the animated flick: Flushed Away debuted at #5 and has since dropped to #6. Obviously, those who liked Flushed Away liked it enough that they're just going out and purchasing it.
There are only two other animated films on this week's Top 10: The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of the Flyers debuted at #9 while the controversial Cinderella III: A Twist in Time dropped to #10 after four weeks on the chart.

Fun Fact: There are 12 frakking sequels to The Land Before Time?!! When did this happen?
