MacFarlane makes Simpsons toys
figurines will repeat exclusive dialogue from the movie
Todd MacFarlane continues his domination of the fanboy universe by making The Simpsons Movie merchandise. The Simpsons Movie comes out July 27th.

It comes as no surprise that MacFarlane Toys has the merch rights to the upcoming The Simpsons Movie, as they've been making Matt Groening's cartoons into toys for quite some time now. It also comes as no surprise that (a) they look pretty kick-ass and (b) they're not for your 5-year-old nephew Elmer.
According to MacFarlane's website, the action figures will include sound chips so that the toys will spout dialogue taken directly from the flick. Also, several of the figurine dioramas connect with each other to form a larger scene.
Here's what MacFarlane's offering:
- "Movie Mayhem Bart"
- "Movie Mayhem Homer"
- "Movie Mayhem Marge"
- "Movie Mayhem Lisa & Maggie" (All four "Movie Mayhem" figures connect to form a larger movie theater scene.)
- "Who's a Good Piggy?" - Homer & Piggy
- "Presidential Politics" - Itchy & Scratchy (specialty stores only)
- "Doodle Double Dare" - Bart, Sherri, & Terri (specialty stores only)
- "What Are You Looking At?" - Bart & Ned
