Bring on the Shrekiness: DreamWorks has brought out another poster for Shrek the Third, coming to theatres May 18th.

There's no need to tell you that DreamWorks Animation has a lot riding on this summer's Shrek the Third . . . oh wait, I just did.
DreamWorks' 2006 wasn't the best for the company, what with shareholder bickering, the Securities Exchange Commission investigating the studio's books (they passed), Over the Hedge getting run over by Cars, and a messy divorce from Aardman Animation that killed all hope of Flushed Away ever becoming a hit. So DreamWorks is looking for that comfort food that only an infusion of ogre-sized profits can bring, in the hopes that 2007 will put the studio back on track.
And here's some more publicity to get John and Jane Q. Public stoked for Shrek the Third's release on May 18th. Needless to say, this poster says, "Hey, the gang's all back together" with Shrek not looking happy.
Just in case you hadn't heard by now, here's the plot synopsis: Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) ends up acting as king when his father-in-law King Harold (John Cleese) suddenly becomes ill. To avoid becoming king permanently, Shrek and his pals Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) hit the road to find the real heir to the throne of Far, Far Away, the wastrel Prince Artie (Justin Timberlake).
Meanwhile, back at the palace, the now-pregnant Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) must fend off a coup d'etat started by evil Prince Charming (Rupert Everett). *takes a deep breath* So, you got all that? Good.

Fun Fact: DreamWorks is planning on making five (yes, five) Shrek movies, plus the Shrek the Halls Christmas special (coming to ABC in November) and a Puss in Boots spin-off flick.
